Commissioned by the Lied Center for the Performing arts for their 25th Anniversary. “Let There Be Music” is a three movement work that sets text by Nebraska poets writing about music. The first movement is William Kloefkorn’s poem “Let There Be Music”. The second is Carolyn Renfrew’s “To Music.” The final is a fragment of a text by Willa Cather.
