I am teaching a class in post tonal theory right now. I have always found that the easiest way to identify the prime for of the set by interval. What some books call SIA (successive interval array) and some call AIS (adjacent interval series) is a quick and easy way to spot prime form. I received my SIA table from David Mancini at SMU. I had always assumed he made it himself. After so many years of use, I had assumed these tables were widely available, but I haven’t found another copy. So, here is a rough pdf for your use. I’ll try to get a more formal copy up sometime.
