I’m heading off to Florida for my grandfather’s funeral.  What an incredible man he was!  Here are some pictures of him teaching small engine repair to Liberians. There are also some of him standing in front of the plane that he put together out of crates to fly medical supplies and other necessities for Lutheran missions in the jungle. After his career as a pilot, he became a master locksmith and was named locksmith of the year by the national Association of Locksmiths of America.  After his career as a locksmith, he took classes and become certified as a master gardener. He then farmed an orange grove for many years.
