Here I am doing a passable job playing my Nocturne in memoriam Robert Helps. The piece was originally commissioned by Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church for the dedication of their new piano. David Matthews played the premiere years ago, and I will always be extremely grateful that he spent the time to learn the notes.

The piece is beastly hard to play in certain passages – as is befitting a piece of music titled after such a fierce pianist. Unfortunately, the E flat above middle C is terribly out of tune and extremely bothersome. Other than that, it is one of my better performances of this piece.
